After completing his collegiate swimming eligibility at LSU, Jarrod was a professional swimmer from 1998 until his retirement from the sport in 2004. During this time he was also a coach, trainer, and consultant on weight /medicine ball /dry land training for colleges and club swimming teams, as well as groups and individuals seeking various fitness goals. He now consults on all areas of fitness including specific sport training, nutrition and personal training plans. In 2008 Jarrod stepped away from coaching at University of Houston to stay home and raise his children. He continues his passion for helping others to achieve their fitness goals through personal training and involvement in the fitness industry. He coaches and teaches classes at the Houstonian Club. Jarrod lives in Houston with his three kids, Sydney and Tyson (twins age 11), Max (age 9), and wife Nicole.

1997 – 2004 Member of USA National Team, during which conducted numerous swim clinics, did motivational speaking, and traveled extensively, competing in several international and national competitions.
